This Notion journal template is designed to help you better understand the triggers around food, hunger signals, emotional responses, and automatic thoughts that can lead to undesirable eating behaviour. It also encourages a more balanced lifestyle with positive self-talk and structure in nutrition and fitness.
For much of my life, I have used food to cope with my anxiety and emotions. Two years ago, I lost over 150 pounds, but without this main coping mechanism, I felt very anxious and depressed. I couldn’t bear the thought of not having the opportunity to eat all the delicious food right away, and eventually, I succumbed to stress and regained a lot of weight, as my needs weren’t met. This only worsened my already poor relationship with food. That’s why I’m now focusing on gaining control over my eating behaviour.
As an emotional eater, this journal was created to help me change my eating behaviour and build a healthier coping strategy. It uses cognitive behavioural therapy techniques which have been proven to be effective in this field.
Now, I want to share it with others who have struggled with a bad relationship with food and negative body image.
